"He is working with experts like Daryl Foster who have helped Shoaib Akhtar in the past," said spokesman Samiul Hasan.

Shabbir has been asked to return home by the end of February, shortly before India's arrival.

The 27-year-old has been reported three times for a suspect action, including once after his one-day debut against West Indies in 1999.
