Flower back for Zimbabwe
Grant Flower
Flower brings experience to bear
Batsman Grant Flower has returned to fitness in time for Zimbabwe's tour of Australia for the VB one-day international series.

Australia, Zimbabwe and India will face off in a triangular series in the New Year with the best of three finals scheduled to end on 10 February.

The experienced Flower missed the home series against West Indies but returns in place of Barney Rogers.

Seam bowler Douglas Hondo is also back with Gary Brent missing out.

Streak knows it will be a tough ask against the World Cup finalists.

He said: "The VB Series represents another major opportunity to develop the skills and performances of a group of talented young players.

"We competed well with the West Indies in our recent five match home series, which has given us a lot of confidence and self belief.

"But we know that this tournament will be another step up in terms of intensity against the teams that met in the final of the World Cup in March."

Squad: Heath Streak (captain), Tatenda Taibu (vice-captain), Mark Vermeulen, Grant Flower, Craig Wishart, Sean Ervine, Andy Blignaut, Raymond Price, Douglas Hondo, Vusumuzi Sibanda, Stuart Matsikenyeri, Ngonidzashe (Blessing) Mahwire, Travis Friend, Stuart Carlisle.
