Zimbabwe decision delayed
Michael Vaughan
Vaughan may or may not lead England to Zimbabwe
England will delay any decision on next year's Zimbabwe tour until the end of February.

A statement released by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Tuesday said recent events in Zimbabwe had been "noted."

It added: "The board re-affirms its intention to review its tour plans at its meeting on 25 February.

On Sunday, Zimbabwe president Robert Mugabe pulled the southern African country out of the Commonwealth.

The following day, former Zimbabwe pace bowler Henry Olonga insisted England should boycott the tour.

But England have decided against taking a knee-jerk response.

Des Wilson, Chairman of the ECB's marketing committee, said: "Any decision with respect to our tour is taken by ourselves for the right reasons and at the right time."

England refused to play a World Cup match in Zimbabwe in February.

But the Zimbabwe team were welcomed on a summer tour of England three months later.
