County champions Sussex have boosted their squad by giving a one-year contract to little-known Australian pace bowler Jason Voros. He took 47 wickets for the second XI last summer and fills the gap left by Paul Hutchison and Billy Taylor, who have joined Middlesex and Hampshire.
Voros has Hungarian parents and has been registered as a non-overseas player under European Union rules.
"It's a fantastic opportunity for me," the 26-year-old said.
"To be joining the County Champions is awesome. If you're going to play County cricket then you might as well join the best and I'm looking forward to the challenge.
"My signing with Sussex shows that all club cricketers can aim at the top."
The left-armer, who was born in Canberra, has yet to make first-class debut but has taken nine wickets in six one-day appearances in Australian domestic cricket.
