Yuvraj did not have the best of times at Yorkshire

Yuvraj and Fleming were team-mates at Yorkshire during the County Championship.

The 21-year-old is now back in India at a training camp ahead of the Test and one-day series, starting next month.

He said: "I became good friends with Fleming in Yorkshire.

"I learnt a lot from him, he helped me a lot. He's a very experienced player and an excellent captain.

"I've picked up lots of important tips for the future."

Yuvraj was not in the best of form at Yorkshire, he scored just 145 runs in seven first-class matches.

But he said the experience was still valuable.

"I didn't do well in the last three months but learnt a lot of things which make you a good cricketer.

"It was a good experience playing county cricket. The first month was pretty good, I played a couple of good knocks, but later on I was struggling."

Yuvraj also had a poor run in one-day cricket in England, managing only 196 runs at an average of 21.77.

But the explosive middle-order batsman is confident of getting back to scoring runs.

"I've done well in domestic cricket," Yuvraj said.

"I just have to try and be consistent in India's one-day games and then try to get into the test team."

Yuvraj has scored 1644 runs in 73 one-day internationals at 31.01 but is yet to win a Test cap.
