Pakistan were victorious in the politically important Emerging Trophy match against India. The match had been highlighted by the ICC as an avenue to restoring senior tours between the two countries.
Fine work from the bowlers pulled off a spectacular 37-run win for Pakistan on Sunday in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Opening bowlers Fahad Masood (4-30) and Junaid Zia (3-35) along with fellow paceman Yasir Arafat (3-30) starred after Pakistan had hit just 137.
After losing the toss and being ordered to bat first, Pakistan's emerging team were 67-1 before Irfan Pathan took four quick wickets to leave them 89-6.
Pathan finished with 4-22 in nine overs while Avishkar Salvi took 3-27.
The Emerging Trophy is open to young cricketers aspiring to win international caps and those who have played less than two test matches and five one-day internationals.
Under-19 trip
Sri Lanka is also fielding a team in the tournament.
India's under-19 team will shortly be in Pakistan for a one-day series also involving Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
India severed cricket ties with Pakistan in 2001, accusing it of harbouring Islamic militants in Kashmir.
The Himalayan region is divided between the two countries but claimed in entirety by both.
Pakistan's national team last toured India for a Test series in 1999.
Their teams now meet only in major tournaments, such as the World Cup and ICC Champions Trophy.
The two countries have fought three wars over Kashmir since they gained independence from the British in 1947.
