Dalmiya, with arms folded, has won another year in office |
Jagmohan Dalmiya has been elected unopposed to serve his third and final one-year term as president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India. S.Karunakaran Nair was re-elected as secretary while most of the key officials all keep their posts.
The two-day annual general meeting of the BCCI has begun in Calcutta.
Dalmiya said he was "happy to be given another chance to serve Indian cricket."
Meanwhile, the BCCI has decided in principle to offer graded payments to its senior players.
"The major conditions of the contract that the board will offer the players have been discussed with them," said Dalmiya.
"The board has approved the contract in principle," Dalmiya said.
The players will be graded in three categories, he said, a move which mirrors schemes adopted by other Test-playing nations.

Dalmiya is also keen on improving the standards of Indian coaches and backroom staff so as to reduce the reliance on foreigners.
"We are not going to continue with foreign support all the time. Very soon, we are going to have a number of our own men having the required expertise and doing the jobs."
Current coach John Wright comes from New Zealand.
Physiotherapist Andrew Leipus is Australian, fitness trainer Gregory King is South African, while the man he replaced - Adrian le Roux - is also from South African.
Dalmiya said: "We're making every effort to ensure that there's a culture whereby even the junior teams realise the importance of fitness training.
"Maybe, in the future, we will no longer need to seek foreign help and offer our help to the other countries instead."
