Glamorgan pace bowler Simon Jones has been named in England's Academy squad this winter. Jones is continuing his rehabilitation from the horrendous cruciate ligament injury incurred during last year's Ashes series.

Jones will join up with the rest of the 14-man squad, which includes Worcestershire's Kadeer Ali, at Loughborough before Christmas.
The Academy squad will then undertake a six-week tour to Malaysia and India leaving in late January.
Jones will be helped in his comeback by the work of Academy bowling coach Troy Cooley, who will be based at Loughborough with the Academy squad prior to Christmas.
Cooley will then take on the role of assistant coach to the Test squad on the tour of the West Indies next spring.
A second member of the Glamorgan bowling attack, Robert Croft, also received a mention in dispatches.
He is in the frame should England require an additional third spinner for Sri Lanka alongside Ashley Giles and Worcestershire off-spinner Gareth Batty.
Options
"We will review the position after the tour to Bangladesh," Graveney added.
"Jason Brown, Robert Croft and Ian Blackwell will be considered as possible spin bowling options for the Sri Lankan Tests if required."
Croft has 21 Test caps, the last against Australia at Nottingham in 2001, but has not played international cricket since withdrawing from the subsequent winter tour squad to India and New Zealand over security concerns following the September 11th terrorist attacks.
There is also Glamorgan representation in the Under-19 squad for the junior World Cup in Bangladesh next year, with pace bowler Adam Harrison getting a call-up.
