County Championship D2, Cardiff: Northamptonshire 319; Glamorgan 20-0 (day one, stumps) Mike Hussey scored his sixth century of the season, motoring past 1,500 Championship runs, in his penultimate game for the club he has helped to promotion in both competitions.
But Robert Croft, strangely ignored in England's tour squads, had a big say on the Northamptonshire innings, taking 5-93 as they were bowled out inside 82 overs at Sophia Gardens.
Glamorgan are one of four teams chasing the final promotion spot, and they at least gained maximum bowling points with Michael Kasprowicz'z 3-58 also an important factor.
Hussey almost carried his bat, finally last man out for 147 having found scant support from most of his colleagues besides fellow opener Tim Roberts (41) and Phil Jaques (28).
