FACTFILE
Grant Flower
DOB: 20.12.1970
Team: Mashonaland
Test debut: v India, Harare 1992
ODI debut:v India, Harare 1992

Seasoned campaigner who made his debut in Zimbabwe's first-ever Test match, batting for almost six hours to make 82 against India.

Started out in international cricket as an opener, but is normally to be found occupying a middle order slot nowadays.

He is now the senior batsman in the side following brother Andy's decision to quit international cricket.

With an average of 30, his record is modest, but after playing in his sibling's shadow for so long, perhaps the extra responsibility will see him bloom.

A sound left-arm spinner, Flower contributed in the World Cup with the ball as well as the bat.
