Ebrahim's abilities as a rabbit-like fielder remain unquestioned, but he has found life tough with the bat since making his debut two years ago.

He was given 33 consecutive starts following his one-day debut against Bangladesh in 2001.

A string of impressive knocks - highlighted by 94 against India in Delhi last year - mark him as a player of potential, but a poor World Cup leaves him with questions to answer.

The right-hander's preference is for the middle-order but more often than not he finds himself opening the innings.
