Bevan Griggs scored his maiden first-class century against the tourists on Saturday. The 24-year-old was was 100 not out off 150 balls when Central Districts declared their first innings at 295 for nine with 70 minutes remaining on the second day of the three-day match. The start of India's second innings on Saturday was delayed because of bad light. Griggs and Lance Hamilton added an unbroken partnership of 58 for the 10th wicket. Paceman Ajit Agarkar was the best Indian bowler, ending with four for 50 off 16.2 overs, while off-spinner Harbhajan Singh had two for 73 off 20. India were dismissed for 209 in their first innings Friday. They are preparing for the first test against New Zealand beginning on Thursday in Wellington.
