Ashes fixtures rearranged
England lost the Ashes series at home in 2001
England last won the Ashes in 1986-1987
Fixtures on England's Ashes Tour next winter have been rearranged to fit in with Australian television demands.

The second and third Tests in Perth and Adelaide have been swapped after a request from the Australian television rights-holders.

The first of the five-match 2002-03 Ashes series will still take place in Brisbane from 7-11 November, with the second Test now starting in Adelaide on 21 November.

The third Test will be staged in Perth, beginning on 29 November, with the fourth and fifth matches in Melbourne and Sydney.

"The Nine (television) Network made a formal submission to the Board to change the fixture, and after consulting with all relevant stakeholders, including the England and Wales Cricket Board, we have met the request," said Australian Cricket Board chief executive James Sutherland.

England and Australia will also meet Sri Lanka in a triangular limited overs series in December and January before all three teams head to South Africa for the World Cup.

Australia, the world's number-one ranked Test side, have won the past seven Ashes series against England, who have not won since 1986-87.

England's revised Ashes schedule:

First Test: Brisbane, 7-11 November
Second Test: Adelaide, 21-25 November
Third Test: Perth, 29 November - 3 December
Fourth Test: Melbourne, 26-30 December
Fifth Test: Sydney, 2-6 January
