Windies shake up squad
Williams batting against England
Stuart Williams; 722 runs in the Busta Cup
The West Indies Cricket Board have signalled possible changes by including four new faces for the forthcoming home series against India.

Batsman Devon Smith, spin bowling all-rounder Gareth Breese and pacemen Adam Sanford and Darrell Powell have been named in a 22-man squad to take part in a training camp in Trinidad from 21-28 March.

But the selectors have also given another opportunity to players discarded in the past, with Stuart Williams, Junior Murray and Mahendra Nagamootoo all back in favour.

Williams and Murray have both been in prolific form with the bat in the Busta Cup, while leg-spinner Nagamootoo has taken 41 wickets in seven games at an average of 20.19.

West Indies are deperate to end a five-match losing streak in Test cricket, having suffered a 3-0 whitewash in Sri Lanka and a 2-0 defeat by Pakistan in Sharjah.

Star batsman Brian Lara has been included, even though he has only just resumed net practice after suffering a dislocated elbow in a collision with Sri Lanka's Marvan Atapattu last december.

There is also a place for Ramnaresh Sarwan, who was forced to miss the series against Pakistan with back trouble but is now back in action for Guyana.

India, who have re-appointed Sourav Ganguly as skipper, will play five Tests and five one-day internationals in the Caribbean.

West Indies training squad: Carl Hooper (capt), Marlon Black, Gareth Breese, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Pedro Collins, Cameron Cuffy, Mervyn Dillon, Daren Ganga, Chris Gayle, Ryan Hinds, Wavell Hinds, Ridley Jacobs, Brian Lara, Runako Morton, Junior Murray, Mahendra Nagamootoo, Darrell Powell, Dinanath Ramnarine, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Devon Smith, Adam Sanford, Stuart Williams.
