Durham and Hampshire suffer wash-out

County Championship leaders Durham were again frustrated by the weather as the second day of their clash with Hampshire was washed out.

After only 30 overs were possible on day one at Chester-le-Street, bottom-of-the-table Hampshire remain on 77-3.

And with more rain forecast Durham may have little chance to extend their lead over the chasing pack.

Durham are currently seven points clear but title rivals Lancashire, Somerset and Warwickshire have games in hand.
