Champions Nottinghamshire's clash with Yorkshire petered out into a predictable draw following a rain-affected final day.

After the weather wiped out the morning session at Trent Bridge, Yorkshire limped along at just over two runs per over before declaring on 113-2.

Adam Lyth completed his third half-century of the season before falling for 52, while Joe Sayers made 45.

Notts, set a nominal 220 to win, were 31-0 when the teams shook hands.

The result leaves Notts in second place in Division One on 73 points, one behind leaders Lancashire, while Yorkshire are sixth with 46 points.
