The latest feast of Test cricket has led to a number of changes in the PricewaterhouseCoopers ratings for international cricketers.

England fast bowler Darren Gough rose to his highest ever ranking following his excellent performance in the series in Sri Lanka.

The Yorkshireman moved up four places to number seven after leading England's attack in testing conditions throughout the three match series.

At the top of the bowling rankings Australia's Glenn McGrath swaps places with South African captain Shaun Pollock to regain his number one spot.
Sachin Tendulkar

India's Harbhajan Singh is the other major change after 32 wickets in the series against Australia.

The spinner climbed to number six after starting the three Test series languishing at number 54.

Vangipurappu Laxman almost matched Singh in climbing from 53rd to 10th after a productive series with the bat for India.

His team-mate Sachin Tendulkar remains on top of the batting rankings.

Further down the listings Graham Thorpe's return to form at Test level has been rewarded by a leap of 25 places to 14th, one place behind team-mate Michael Atherton, England's highest placed batsman.
