The 38-year-old was beaten 6-0 by 16-year-old Indian star Deepika Kumar, the world number one, in a one-sided final. The home crowd, whose conduct was criticised by England in the team final, was praised by Williamson. "They were very respectful. It was nice to compete in that atmosphere," said Williamson, who now has two silvers. "I was very impressed with Indian crowd. It's been a steep learning curve for them but they've really improved. "I think I'm satisfied with silver. I shot as well as I could and my opponent shot a little better. "It was much windier out there than it has been so I had to adapt." Compatriot Amy Oliver lost in the quarter-finals to India's Dola Banerjee, who went on to win the bronze medal. In the men's recurve competition, England's Simon Terry and Larry Godfrey bowed out at the quarter-finals stage against Canadian Jason Lyon and Indian Jayanta Talukdar respectively. That means England finished the archery competition with four golds and three silvers.
