Oxfordshire's Simon Burnett clinches silver in 100m

Oxfordshire swimmer Simon Burnett has clinched his second silver medal of the Commonwealth Games - finishing runner-up in the men's 100m freestyle.

The event was won by Canadian Brent Hayden who set a new games record.

Defending champion Burnett told BBC Sport: "I am so pleased right now. I just tried to focus on my own race and hold it together.

"We've got the medley relay coming up - a great chance of a gold medal - and I want to thank all my supporters."
