Walsh's opponent in the super-featherweight clash, Maxwell Awuku, had lost once in 22 fights, but this was his first venture outside his native Ghana.
Walsh, as ever, started the fight aggresively, dominating the first five rounds, but until this fight he had only ever fought over the six round distance.
As the fight progressed it became clear that Walsh was in uncharted territory, while the Ghanaian had gone the distance in five of his eight previous bouts.
Trainer Graham Everett gives some encouraging words to Liam Walsh, who took some powerful shots from Awuku between the sixth and eighth rounds.
After the eighth round Walsh seemed to find a second wind, and with Awuku still on the front foot Everett's relentless training regime had Walsh well prepared to box his way out of trouble.
As the end of the fight came closer it became clear that Walsh was pulling away on the score cards, with a unanimous verdict almost inevitable.
Everett looks on proudly after seeing Ryan, Michael and Liam winning with dominant displays, the judges scoring the bout 119-111, 117-112 and 117-113 in the Cromer fighter's favour.
Michael Walsh shows the boxing world it's latest champion as Liam is presented with the first title of his career.
The three Walsh brothers made their professional debuts on the same bill in 2008, with Liam the first of the trio to claim a title belt.
