Cleverly has won all 15 of his fights, five by knock-out |
Nathan Cleverly is set to face Danny McIntosh for the British light-heavyweight title that has been vacated by Dean Francis. Unbeaten Cefn Fforest fighter Cleverly already holds the Commonwealth crown and, at 22, is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in British boxing. He has won all 15 of his fights, five of the victories by knock-out. Norwich's McIntosh, 29, has only had 10 professional fights, but, like Cleverly, he boasts a 100% record. The bout could go on the undercard of Amir Khan's challenge for Andreas Kotelnik's WBA light-welterweight title on 27 June. | 606: DEBATE |
Cleverly has long held Francis in his sights, but the Bristol-based fighter is looking to campaign at cruiserweight after difficulty boiling down to the light-heavyweight limit.
