Ibbs set for Prizefighter series
Werrington heavyweight Alex Ibbs has been selected to take part in the inaugural Prizefighter series at York Hall in Bethnal Green on 11 April.

The knockout tournament will involve eight of the UK's heavyweights with the winner securing prize money of 25,000.

Ibbs said: "There are some good heavyweights in the competition and it's going to be a big challenge but I will be fully prepared."

'The Bull' has won all three of his professional fights so far.

All the bouts in the tournament will consist of three three-minute rounds and will be held on the same evening.

Before travelling to Bethnal Green, Ibbs will meet David Ingelby at the Kings Hall in Stoke on 1 March.

Meanwhile Stafford boxer Rob Hunt makes his return to the ring on Thursday at the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton.

The light welterweight is expected to take on London's Duncan Cottier in what is currently an unconfirmed card. Hunt has been out since October with a knee injury.
