Scott Lawton will top the bill at the Kings Hall in March |
Stoke lightweight Scott Lawton will headline Impact Boxing's next event at the city's Kings Hall on 1 March. Lawton, who suffered defeats to both British champion Jon Thaxton and Commonwealth champion Amir Khan last year, has yet to identify an opponent.
Lawton told BBC Radio Stoke: "Many people were frustrated with my performance against Khan and I was bitterly disappointed myself."
Lawton has his sights firmly set on another assault on the British title.
Meanwhile local favourite Jimmy Doherty will seek to extend his unbeated record to 8 bouts and the Werrington heavyweight will look to secure his fourth consecutive victory since joining the pro ranks.
Scott Miller of Birches Head will look to continue his winning start, having defeated Karl Taylor in his debut in November.
The popular Chester duo of Chris Goodwin and Kevin Buckley will also return to the Kings Hall and will be joined by debutant super-featherweight Paul Economides.
