Cotto is a former world champion at light welterweight |
Puerto Rico's Miguel Cotto will defend his WBA welterweight title against Shane Mosley on 10 November at New York's Madison Square Garden. The 26-year-old Cotto, undefeated in 30 fights, stopped Zab Judah at the same venue in June to retain his title.
Mosley, 35, has 44 wins from 48 fights, is a former three-weight world champion and has beaten Oscar de la Hoya twice.
In February, he took a unanimous decision over Luis Collazo for the WBC interim welterweight crown.
"I am very excited to be returning to Madison Square Garden and I will be completely prepared for the biggest fight of my career," said Cotto, who has fought there three times previously.
"Shane is a great fighter but he will not be the better fighter on 10 November. I will be leaving the ring the same way I will be entering it - undefeated and still world champion."
Mosley said: "Cotto is a great fighter but so am I and we're going to light up the Garden.
"I don't think I've ever been more excited for a fight. I can't wait to get in the ring and get it on."
