Four-time world champion Acelino Freitas of Brazil has retired from professional boxing. The 30-year-old Freitas' last fight, in April, was a split-decision win over Zahir Raheem of the USA for the vacant WBO lightweight belt.
Brazil's most successful fighter said he wants to continue his career as a promoter, and will continue helping social projects in his homeland.
He finished with a pro record of 38 fights, one defeat, with 32 KOs.
