The outclassed Larios could not deal with Pacquiao's right cross |
Manny Pacquiao retained his lightly-regarded WBC international super featherweight belt with a points win over Oscar Larios in Manila. Southpaw Pacquiao floored Larios twice in the seventh and final rounds and his hand speed had the Mexican in trouble for most of the fight.
Pacquiao's record improved to 42-3 with Larios' falling to 56-5.
"I controlled the fight. I did not rush," said Pacquiao. "I was hit but I was never hurt."
Larios said he prepared well for the fight and blamed himself for not listening to his corner.
"Manny is a great fighter, I felt that he beat me primarily with his speed," he said.

Pacquiao ruled out a rematch with Larios and said he was now after a rematch with Erik Morales, the Mexican he beat in January to win the WBC international super featherweight crown.
