Unbeaten Power wins British title | | Unbeaten Martin Power won the vacant British bantamweight title in his 17th
professional fight in London on Friday. The Londoner looked to be heading for a quick win when Dale Robinson suffered a severe gash above his left eye just before the end of the second round. But Robinson, from Huddersfield, battled on bravely despite a continual flow of blood to last the 12 rounds. He floored Power in the 11th round but the Londoner staged a grandstand finish and won a 116-113 points decision.
