The long-awaited rematch between Roy Jones Jr and Bernard Hopkins is in jeopardy, according to reports. The ring legends were due to meet in a light heavyweight clash on 11 March but a money dispute means the fight could now be postponed or even scrapped.
Jones won a decision over Hopkins in 1993 at middleweight, a division the latter went on to rule for many years.
The pair, aged 36 and 40 respectively, had agreed for a return bout in the USA to serve as a farewell fight for both.
In his last fight on 1 October, Jones lost a decision to light heavyweight Antonio Tarver.
Hopkins, who turns 41 on January 15, lost to Jermain Taylor on 3 December.
