Antonio Tarver insisted he will avenge December's loss to Jamaica's Glen Johnson after agreeing a June rematch.

The pair will fight for the peripheral IBO light heavyweight title in Memphis on 18 June after the first fight was awarded to Johnson on a split decision.

"I know how bad I want to right the wrong," said the American.

"I will once again reign supreme over the light heavyweight division. I've been working. I'm committed. I'm dedicated. I've made the sacrifices."

Johnson, 42-9-2 with 28 knockouts, said he was the clear winner of the first bout.

"I took it seriously. I did my work. I did my part, and I came out on top. I will do the same thing again," he said.

The fighters each gave up titles to fight each other on 18 December in Los Angeles.
