Carl Froch is planning to claim the European super-middleweight title before setting his sights on America. Froch retained his Commonwealth title on Friday and will again defend his crown against Brian Magee in February.
"We'll get that out of the way and take it from there, but there's no reason I can't jump in for the European title straight after that," said Froch.
"That'll be half the world. The other half is America. Then we'll be looking for world title fights."
The 28-year-old Froch beat Henry Porras on his American debut in a bout which was part of a three-fight deal between his promoter Mick Hennessy and American superstar Oscar De La Hoya and his Golden Boy Promotions outfit.

He added: "I can go out there as and when - if there's nothing happening in Britain, we can shoot out there.
"Or if I want to build up my world ranking and get an opportunity to fight for a world title that might be what I have to do."
Froch has consistently tried to get a fight against WBO champion Joe Calzaghe but that is unlikely until to materialise as the Welshman is to fight IBF title-holder Jeff Lacy next spring.
But Froch said: "I want to go to the top, I want to be world champion and fight Jeff Lacy and Joe Calzaghe, the best in the world. And I want respect from the top guys.
"So I won't be taking Magee lightly but I also won't be taking him as a big, great fight.
"Every fight for me is a world title fight because if you get beaten you go down the snake rather than up the ladders to the top."
