Hopkins has lost twice in 49 bouts |
Bernard Hopkins will defend his undisputed middleweight crown against Jermain Taylor on 16 July. Negotiations have been going on for some time but the fight is now set to take place in Las Vegas.
Hopkins, 40, made his 20th title defence against Britain's Howard Eastman last month while Taylor, 26, is undefeated in a 23-fight career.
Taylor, who won bronze at the 2000 Olympics, is seen by many as the heir to Hopkins' middleweight throne.
