Adamek on song in title defence |  Adamek lands a big shot on Ulrich |
Poland's Tomasz Adamek defended his WBC light heavyweight title with a sixth-round knockout of Germany's Thomas Ulrich in Dusseldorf. Both fighters fought at a high tempo from the opening bell, Adamek in particular throwing non-stop punches. The Pole eventually ended the fight with a straight right to the side of Ulrich's head with just over a minute left in the sixth round. Adamek improves his record to 30 wins and no defeats with 21 knockouts.
