Harrison throws down the gauntlet
Audley Harrison
Harrison won gold at the Sydney Olympics
Former Olympic champion Audley Harrison wants his next fight to be against a leading heavyweight contender.

London's Harrison is 14th in the latest WBC rankings but has called out top-10 fighters Samuel Peter (4), Monte Barrett (6) and Calvin Brock (8).

Harrison said: "Look at the state of the division and tell me that my style will not overcome all challengers.

"Boxing needs to know I am ready to step into contender status. I am the future of the heavyweight division."

Harrison, 33, is unbeaten in 19 professional fights and stopped journeyman Robert Wiggins in his last bout.

He claims Brock and Barrett have both declined the chance to fight him.
