Woods believes he is owed a fight with Calzaghe |
Clinton Woods has branded Joe Calzaghe's 10 September defence of his WBO super middleweight title a "joke". IBF light heavyweight champion Woods defends his title the previous night against Julio Gonzales, but an opponent has yet to be named for Calzaghe.
"There's less than four weeks to go but his opponent has still to be announced It's a joke. What kind of world title defence is that?" said Woods.
"I'm a more credible champion than Calzaghe - I've fought better people."
Woods, who finally landed a world title in March when he beat Rico Hoye, fell out with Calzaghe when the Welshman pulled out of a planned bout at light heavyweight.

"I'd signed my agreement to box Calzaghe and had already commenced my training," said Woods.
"As far as I was concerned the fight was on.
"It's probably for the best, though, given that Calzaghe twice pulled out of fighting Glen Johnson and that he has a history of messing people about.
"In Roy Jones and Glen Johnson I've fought some of the best fighters and earned my shot - Calzaghe should be made to do the same."
British lightweight sensation Amir Khan is scheduled to box on the same card as Calzaghe in Cardiff.
