Hide has lost to Riddick Bowe and Vitali Klitschko |
Former two-time WBO heavyweight champion Herbie Hide is planning to resurrect his career at cruiserweight. The 33-year-old has been out since injuring his hand in a loss against Mendauga Kulikauskas last March.
"I could beat all the cruiserweight champions in the world on the same night," said the Norwich fighter.
"For my first fight, I want (former WBO champion) Carl Thompson. Then, after I have taken him out in style I want WBO champ Johnny Nelson."
Hide has also challenged British and Commonwealth champion Mark Hobson and London prospect David Haye, who clash on 22 July.
Hide's decision to drop to cruiserweight was prompted by the increase in the weight limit for the division to 14st 4lbs.
"It won't take any effort at all. I am now walking around at 206lbs, only 6lbs over the cruiserweight limit. I can lose that in one training session.
"I have never been a heavyweight, people only need to look at me to realise that."
