Dazzo Williams retained his British featherweight crown with a thrilling points win over Roy Rutherford in Hereford on Wednesday night. Hometown fighter Williams won the belt from Rutherford last November with a disputed decision and the rematch was a contender for fight of the year.
But this time there was no controversy as referee Richie Davies scored the contest 117-112 in Williams' favour.
Williams is now set to fight European featherweight champ, Nicky Cook.
"I had to dig in there," said the 30-year-old victor. "That was a hard fight and I hope I've cleared the decision now.
"Everybody said I won the belt controversially but I hope I made a clearer statement tonight."
