|  Hobson improves to 23 wins, two losses and a draw |
Mark Hobson defended his British and Commonwealth cruiserweight titles with a sixth-round stoppage of Lee Swaby in Huddersfield on Thursday. Sheffield southpaw Swaby floored Hobson twice in losing to Hobson back in 2002. But Hobson won every round this time round and finished the fight with a big right hand followed by some impressive combinations. The 28-year-old Hobson is now targeting a shot at IBO champion Carl Thompson while David Haye is also an option.
