Manny Pacquiao drew with Juan Manuel Marquez in a compelling featherweight world title fight in Las Vegas. The Filipino failed to win the WBA and IBF belts despite putting Marquez down three times in the opening round.
Marquez hung on and looked to have done enough over the next 11 rounds to gain the decision.
One judge scored the fight 113-113, another scored it 115-110 for Marquez and another scored it 115-110 for Pacquiao.
"I'm disappointed," said Pacquiao. "I should have won the fight. I was ahead on points."

Pacquiao, who destroyed Marco Antonio Barrera last November, sees his record go to 38-2-2. The 25-year-old had riled his Marquez before the fight by stating he wanted to fight former nine stone king Erik Morales after the Mexican.
"In the first round I went in there overconfident," said Marquez said. "But I survived that and I thought I won.
"The most important thing for me was to avoid his left hand. After that I was able to counterpunch him."
In an earlier super lightweight fight, Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico remained unbeaten with a hard-fought 12-round unanimous decision over Lovemore N'Dou.
The WBA's number one contender dominated early on but took some big right hands on his way to improving to 20-0.
