Froch to face Dodson
Carl
Commonwealth super middleweight champion Carl Froch will get his long-awaited crack at the British title on 2 June at an undisclosed venue.

Froch had been set for a March clash with Tony Dodson, before the British holder pulled out with injury.

The Nottingham fighter went on to dethrone Ghanaian Commonwealth champion Charles Adamu instead.

And he has repeatedly assured his fans that he will not duck any challenge as he bids to win the world title.

"I cannot wait to silence Tony Dodson," said Froch.

"I am fighting him because he holds the British title I am destined to win.

"But now when I beat him I get the added bonus of repaying him for the things he has been saying about me.

"I will repay him with a knockout - this fight cannot go the distance.

"I have too much for him. I am faster than him, I am stronger than him and I hit harder than him.

"He is a very credible champion but he is out of his depth here - that's if he turns up this time."

Four thousand fans turned out to roar Froch to victory over Ghanaian Charles Adamu for the Commonwealth title in March and the 26-year-old says home advantage is key.

"The people of Nottingham have been amazing. When I walk out and hear people chanting my name I get a massive lift." I will repay their support by bringing home every traditional belt in the professional game.
