Carl Froch will get his shot at the British super middleweight title if he beats Dmitry Adamovich on the Howard Eastman undercard on Friday. The Nottingham fighter has been given the go-ahead to take on Tony Dodson for the title on 13 March in a show also featuring Herbie Hide.
"I am going to give Dodson a boxing lesson," said Froch. "He has never been in with anyone with my skills before.
"I'm going to have too much power, I will definitely stop him."
Froch, a Nottingham Forest fan, is excited at the prospect of boxing for a title in his home town.
"It's going to get noisy in there," said the 26-year-old.
"Everyone knows that I have always wanted the Lonsdale belt. It is one of the most prestigious and is respected the whole world over.

"It also represents the first major step on the traditional path that I will follow: British, Commonwealth, European and then World titles."
First up, however, Froch has to deal with Adamovich, a journeyman from Belarus who lost to Briton Robin Reid in October.
Their eight-round contest is on the undercard of Eastman's European middleweight title defence against Russian Sergey Tatevosyan.
"I always enjoy boxing on the same shows as Howard, he is class act," said Froch.
"I have heard that this Tatevosyan is a bit of a tidy operator so it should make for a good fight, but he won't be able to live with Howard.
"No-one can, he is the best middleweight in the world."
