World Championship-bound Jon Greenfield clinched Guernsey's De Putron Fund Management series with victory at the Petit Bôt Triathlon.

Phil Le Pelley was first out of the water, but Greenfield then made up time in the bike ride and run to complete the course in 1hr 27m 14s.

The first woman home was Karina Bowie, who finished seventh in 1hr 40m 9s.

"The Petit Bôt course is my favourite of the local races so to win is great," said Greenfield.

"The series has been good preparation for the World Championships which I will be competing in next month."

A total of 22 athletes completed the final course of the series which included a 1000m swim, 25km bike ride and 7km run.
