Bolt dominates 200m in Shanghai Double world record-holder Usain Bolt won on his first Diamond League outing of the season as he breezed through 200m in 19.76 seconds in Shanghai. The Jamaican, who now has the year's two fastest 200m times, finished well clear of American Angelo Taylor. In-form American Carmelita Jeter won the women's 100m with countryman Jeremy Wariner taking the men's 400m. Britain's Michael Bingham came third behind Wariner while Jenny Meadows finished second in the women's 800m. Meadows, who followed her bronze medal in 2009's World Championships with a silver in March's indoor version, was narrowly edged out by Kenya's Janeth Jepkosgei Busienei.  | 606: DEBATE |
The 29-year-old Briton was almost three seconds off her season's best. Former Olympic and world 110m hurdles champion Liu Xiang finished third in front of a home crowd as he made his first outdoor appearance of the season. American David Oliver improved on his own world-leading time as he clocked 12.99 seconds in taking victory ahead of ahead of Liu's countryman Shi Dongpeng Bolt, who ran 19.56 in Kingston, Jamaica on 1 May, makes his debut at 300m in his next appearance in the Czech Republic on Thursday. The 23-year-old will aim to overhaul Michael Johnson's world's best performance of 30.85 seconds over the seldom-run distance. The Shanghai meet is the second Diamond League event of the season, which began on 14 May in Qatar. The series has been introduced to replace the Golden League series from this season.
