Brewer is one of two Cheltenham & County Harriers athletes selected

Gloucestershire athletes Emily Pidgeon, James Brewer and James Campbell have been selected for the European under-23 Athletics Championships in Lithuania.

Pidgeon will compete in the 5,000m, Brewer in the 1,500m and Campbell in the javelin as part of the squad of 52.

"It's really nice that all three of us are going to this championships" Brewer told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.

"We did well as juniors and we've had a bit of a lull for various reasons, so it'll be great for us to be out there."

At club level, Brewer and Campbell compete for Cheltenham and County Harriers, while Pidgeon runs for Stroud.
