Harper heads for the finish in the castle ruins at Kenilworth

Richard Harper has won the Warwickshire County Athletics Association 10 kilometre Championship.

Harper recorded a time of 34 minutes four seconds on the course between Warwick and Kenilworth.

The first female finisher was veteran Monica Williamson, who managed to dip under the 40-minute barrier.

Also known as the Two Castles Run, the event attracted 2,400 competitors who battled through rain to complete the course on Sunday.
