 Isinbayeva's outdoor record stands at 5.05m |
Olympic champion Yelena Isinbayeva has extended her own world indoor pole vault record to 5.00 metres. The Russian, 36, first cleared 4.97m in Donetsk in the Ukraine to eclipse the mark of 4.95m she set in the same city last year. And at her second attempt the IAAF's female athlete of the year became the first woman to clear 5.00m indoors. Her outdoor record, set when she won gold at the Beijing Games last year, stands at 5.05m.
