Stuart Le Noury recorded his first Eric Waldron two-mile walk win in a time of 15min 49sec, beating brother Jason into second place. Jason recorded a new personal best but it was not enough for him to retain the trophy he won in 2004, 2005 and 2007. Stuart's winning time of put him 29 seconds ahead of Jason, with Terry Bates a further 19 seconds behind in third place. Carol Bates was the fastest women in a time of 22min 33 sec. That put her ahead of second placed Rose Dr�ckes by 11 seconds, with Karen Sheppard in third. The next walk is on Sunday 6 April over five kilometres, starting at 0930 BST at Osmond Priaulx playing fields, in Footes Lane. It is the first walk of seven in the Yorkshire Guernsey Sarnia Walking Club Championships.
