Vaulters hoping to scale heights
Kate Dennison
Dennison is hoping for a final spot in Valencia
South Cheshire's Kate Dennison faces an important afternoon on Friday in her bid to make the Pole Vault final at the World Indoor Athletics Championships.

Dennison, from Alsager, competes in the qualification round on Friday at 1600 GMT at the Palau Veledromo in Valencia.

The 23-year-old will be joined at the Championship by Stoke-on-Trent pole vaulter Steve Lewis.

Lewis, 21, competes in the men's qualification event which takes place on Saturday.
