Keith Gerrard continued his fine recent form at the English Cross Country Championships finishing 14th in the senior men's race at Alton Towers. Kevin Loundes finally got the better of his season-long rival and Isle of Man cross country champion John Halligan.
Sarah Astin finished 14th in the under-15s race with sister Gemma just off the top 30 in the under-17s event.
Manx Harriers Di Shimell said: "It is a great result for the girls, I am very pleased with their progress."
Gail Griffiths was 154th out of almost 500 finishers in the senior ladies category.
