Staffs pair vault for World crown
Steve Lewis
Lewis won the World Indoor Trials in Sheffield with a vault of 5.61m
Pole vaulters Steve Lewis and Kate Dennison have both been named in the British squad for the World Indoor Athletic Championships in Spain.

Lewis, from Lightoaks, and Dennison, who is based in Alsager, both won their respective trials in Sheffield.

They are part of an initial 21-person squad that will travel to Valencia for the event which begins on March 7.

Lewis has already tasted success in his short career, winning bronze at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
