The online registration form for the 2008 Isle of Man Parish Walk has been launched by the event's organisers. There are already over 100 entrants listed and website host Murray Lambden predicts a massive 1500 entries.
Starting on 21 June, the gruelling 85 mile route will take walkers past all 17 of the IOM's parish churches.
The electronic timing system tracking walkers will make the event "as advanced as any race in the world," Lambden told BBC Isle of Man.
Categories will include Men's Race 85 miles, Ladies Race 85 miles, Under 21 Ladies and Men to Peel, 32.5 miles, best Men/Mixed team and best Ladies team.
